Usage and precautions of yeast hydrolysate in chicken farming

There are various ways to use yeast hydrolysate in chicken farming, and there are also many precautions to be taken in practical applications. The following is a specific introduction:

Usage

Mixing material addition

Chick stage: Yeast hydrolysate can usually be added 2-3 days after the chicks start feeding, with an amount usually ranging from 0.5% to 1% of the total feed. For example, when preparing 100 kilograms of chicken feed, 0.5-1 kilogram of yeast hydrolysate can be added, stirred evenly, and fed to help the chicks digest, absorb, and grow.

During the chicken breeding stage: As the chicken grows, the amount of yeast hydrolysate added can be appropriately adjusted to 0.3% -0.8% of the total feed. For example, in the feed for breeding chickens, 0.3-0.8 kilograms of yeast hydrolysate can be added for every 100 kilograms to promote the growth and bone development of the chickens.

Egg laying stage: In order to improve egg laying performance and egg quality, the addition amount is generally 0.5% -1.2% of the total feed. Taking 100 kilograms of feed for laying hens as an example, adding 0.5-1.2 kilograms of yeast hydrolysate can effectively meet the nutritional needs of laying hens, improve egg production rate and egg quality.

Drinking water addition

Dissolve yeast hydrolysate in water and let the chicken drink freely. Generally, it is prepared by adding 0.2-0.5 grams of yeast hydrolysate per liter of water. For example, add 20-50 grams of yeast hydrolysate to 100 liters of drinking water, stir well, and serve it to chickens for drinking. This method is suitable for chicken flocks that need to quickly supplement nutrients or are in a stress state, which can enable the chickens to absorb nutrients from yeast hydrolysates more quickly.

Special circumstances added

Disease recovery period: After the chicken flock recovers from illness, in order to help the chickens recover their physical strength and enhance their immunity as soon as possible, the amount of yeast hydrolysate added can be appropriately increased to 1.5% -2%, and used continuously for 7-10 days to promote the recovery and growth of the chickens.

Stress period: When the chicken flock is affected by stress factors such as high temperature, cold, and transportation, the amount of yeast hydrolysate added can be increased to 1.2% -1.5% from 2-3 days before the stress is triggered, and continued to be used until 3-5 days after the stress ends to help alleviate the stress response of the chicken flock.

precautions

Choose high-quality products

Choose yeast hydrolysate products produced by reputable manufacturers with reliable quality. High quality yeast hydrolysate should have good flavor and odor, no odor, and no mold. The product label should clearly indicate the main ingredients, content, production batch number, shelf life, and other information.

Pay attention to storage conditions

Yeast hydrolysate should be stored in a cool, dry, well ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and humid environments. If stored improperly, yeast hydrolysate is prone to moisture absorption and spoilage, affecting its effectiveness.

Pay attention to compatibility taboos

Yeast hydrolysate cannot be used simultaneously with antibiotics, sulfonamide drugs, etc., as these drugs may inhibit the activity of beneficial microorganisms in yeast hydrolysate and reduce its effectiveness. If antibiotics or other drugs need to be used, yeast hydrolysate should be used 2-3 hours before and after medication.

Observe the reaction of the chicken flock

During the use of yeast hydrolysate, it is necessary to closely observe the feeding, drinking, mental state, and feces of the chicken flock. If abnormal reactions are found in the chicken flock, such as decreased feed intake, diarrhea, etc., the use should be stopped immediately, and the cause should be analyzed. If necessary, professionals should be consulted.

Gradually transitioning to use

When using yeast hydrolysate for the first time or changing the brand of yeast hydrolysate, a gradual transition should be adopted to allow the chicken flock to have an adaptation process. Generally, the amount of yeast hydrolysate added should be gradually increased within 3-5 days until it reaches the normal usage level to avoid stress reactions in the chicken flock due to sudden changes in feed or additives.
