Test animals: 32 Mongolian horses; test period: the control group was fed a basal diet, and the test group was supplemented with 0.5%, 1.0%, and 2.0% of yeast extract (protein content greater than 50%, moisture content less than 3.5%, ash content of about 15%, nucleotide content greater than 0.6%, and total sugar content greater than 0.8%), respectively, to the basal diet. The test period was 4 weeks.
