Usage and dosage in livestock and poultry feed

Pig feed

Usage: Beer yeast hydrolysate can be directly added to pig feed, usually using a step-by-step pre mixing method to ensure uniform distribution in the feed. During the process of making compound feed, it can be thoroughly mixed with other ingredients through a mixer. For piglets, they can be added to the teaching trough or nursery feed.

Dosage: During the piglet stage, it is generally recommended to add 2-5% of the total feed. This is because the intestinal development of piglets is not yet complete and requires more nutrients and functional components to promote growth and maintain intestinal health. During the fattening stage of pigs, the addition amount can be around 1% -3%, which helps to improve the growth performance and meat quality of fattening pigs.

Chicken feed

Usage: In the production of chicken feed, beer yeast hydrolysate can be mixed with raw materials such as corn and soybean meal. For chicks, in order to better promote intestinal development and immune function, they can be made into pellet feed for easy feeding. In chicken feed, it can also be evenly mixed.

Dosage: The amount of beer yeast hydrolysate added to chicken feed is usually 2% -4%. This stage is crucial for the growth and development of chicks, as well as the establishment of their immune system. Adequate supplementation can provide sufficient nutrition and immune support. In the feed for laying hens, the addition amount is generally 1% -3%, which helps to improve the egg production rate and quality of laying hens.

Duck feed

Usage: Similar to chicken feed, add beer yeast hydrolysate during the mixing process of duck feed. During the fattening stage of meat ducks, it can be added to full price feed to improve their growth performance and meat quality.

Dosage: The amount added to the feed for meat ducks during the fattening period can be around 1.5% -3%; For egg laying ducks, adding between 1% and 2.5% is beneficial for their egg laying performance and egg quality.

Usage and dosage in aquatic feed

Fish feed

Usage: Due to the high requirements of aquatic animals for the physical properties of feed (such as particle size, water stability, etc.), beer yeast hydrolysate can be mixed with other powdered raw materials first, and then made into pellet feed suitable for fish feeding through granulation process. For some filter feeding fish, they can also be made into pellet feed or liquid feed additives.

Dosage: In freshwater fish feed, such as carp and grass carp, the amount of beer yeast hydrolysate added is generally 1% -3% of the total feed. In marine fish feed, the addition amount is roughly within this range, but for some precious marine fish such as grouper, in order to better meet their nutritional and immune needs, the addition amount can be appropriately increased to 3% -5%.

Shrimp feed

Usage: In the process of making shrimp feed, it is necessary to ensure that the beer yeast hydrolysate is evenly mixed with other raw materials, and that the feed has good water stability after granulation. Because shrimp feed in water and their feed is easily dispersed, they require high stability.

Dosage: In common shrimp feed such as South American white shrimp, the amount of beer yeast hydrolysate added is usually 2% -4%. This helps to improve the growth rate, immunity, and stress resistance of shrimp.

Usage and dosage in pet feed

Dog and cat feed

Usage: In the production process of pet dry food, beer yeast hydrolysate can be mixed with other grains, meat and other raw materials, and processed into granular dry food through baking or extrusion techniques. For pet wet food, it can also be added to products such as meat sauce and canned food to increase nutrition and flavor.

Dosage: In dog food, the general addition amount is 1% -3%. For puppy food, in order to promote the growth and development of puppies and intestinal health, it can be appropriately increased to 3% -5%. In cat food, the addition amount is usually between 1% and 2.5%, which helps improve the palatability of cat food and the nutritional intake of cats.

It should be noted that the specific usage and dosage may vary depending on factors such as animal species, growth stage, and feeding environment. In practical applications, it is best to adjust according to the actual situation of the animal and the advice of professionals.
