Application of Bacillus subtilis in improving water quality
Long-term aquaculture will accumulate a large number of residual baits, excreted wastes, animal and plant residues and harmful gases (ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, etc.) at the bottom of the aquaculture water. These substances often lead to water quality deterioration and poison aquatic animals. It was found that the metabolism of some beneficial microorganisms in aquaculture water had the functions of oxidation, hydrogenation, nitrification, denitrification, phosphorus decomposition, sulfurization and nitrogen fixation, and could decompose the above-mentioned organic substances into carbon dioxide, nitrate and sulfate. In this way, harmful substances can be removed timely and effectively and water quality can be purified in the process of cultivation without interruption, and nutrients can be provided for the reproduction of single-celled algae to promote the reproduction of algae. The photosynthesis of these algae provides oxygen for the respiration of animals in the pool and the decomposition of organic matter, thus forming a benign ecological cycle, which is conducive to the growth of aquaculture animals. At the same time, due to the large number of these beneficial microorganisms, a dominant population can be formed in the pool, which can inhibit the reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms and reduce the occurrence of diseases.
Bacillus subtilis can consume a lot of organic matter in water, decompose it into small molecular organic acids, amino acids and ammonia, improve water quality, provide nutrition for monocyst algae, and purify water quality.
Method of using bacillus subtilis
The water purification by Bacillus subtilis is best used when the sun is around 9 ~ 11 in the morning. After use, the aerator is opened or the aerator is spread. The water temperature is more than 25 degrees, and the effect is not very good. It is recommended that the water temperature should not be lower than 15 degrees.
Note:
Bacillus subtilis is an oxygen-consuming bacterium, which needs to be oxygenated when it is used. It can be opened with oxygenator or sprinkled with oxygenating agent. If there is no oxygenating equipment in freshwater aquaculture, the addition amount should be reduced. It is best to activate it before use, specifically: Bacillus subtilis: brown sugar: water according to the ratio of 1:0.5:20 to soak for more than 2 hours after use, soaking process such as can beat oxygen effect is better. Pond bottom silt more pond can increase the amount of use. Again, the use of oxygen must be increased, otherwise there may be aquatic animals die because of hypoxia, generally 7 ~ 10 can be used once. High density farming can be used in large quantities.
